As noted in a letter sent to all owners last September, if the awning for your unit is posted below, then you have been assessed $500 for its repair. Please note that we generally looked at the following three areas of concern when determining which awnings would require attention:

1) Is the header at the top of the awning rotted and falling away, or missing entirely, which presents an opportunity for moisture to enter the walls and damage the building?

2) Is the awning pulling away from the building, leaving gaps along either side, which also presents an opportunity for moisture to enter the walls and damage the building?

3) Is the wood in visible need of being sanded and repainted?
